Support marine education, environmental outreach and coastal research by giving to UGA Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant!
The University of Georgia Marine Extension and Georgia Sea Grant are valuable resources for the state of Georgia, building bridges between coastal communities and University resources. For the past 40 years, we have taught hundreds of thousands of people about our state's unique coastal and marine ecosystems. We also work hand-in-hand with local governments and coastal industries to help build sustainable, resilient coastal communities and economies.
There are many opportunities to give and protect Georgia's coastal resources and educate future generations in ocean literacy and environmental leadership.
A sample of current giving opportunities:

Youth Ocean Conservation Summit
We are seeking sponsors for our second annual Youth Ocean Conservation Summit in February 2016. Fifty middle and high school students from 15 Georgia cities and five states attended Georgia’s first Youth Ocean Conservation Summit. Held on Skidaway Island near Savannah, the event provides a unique opportunity for students to learn about ocean conservation issues in their local communities and start to develop solutions for those problems. Contact Anne Lindsay at 912-598-2355 for more information.
We are expanding the UGA Aquarium! We will soon be launching a major fundraising campaign to enlarge our building to include a brand new exhibit space dedicated to maritime forests, reptiles and amphibians. These displays will feature creatures native to coastal Georgia and is guaranteed to be a favorite amongst children and visitors!
